Billie C. Hiteshew

Billie C. Hiteshew, 71, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Weston, WV, she was the daughter of the late Frank Corathers and Lois Sims Corathers. Mrs. Hiteshew was a member of St. Joseph United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Retired Officers Wives Club at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Mrs. Hiteshew was the former state coordinator for North Carolina and South Carolina for the National League of Families which dealt with prisoner of war issues.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Hicks. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Hiteshew is survived by her husband of 48 years, Col. James E. Hiteshew; a daughter, Susan Davis and her husband, Curt and two grandsons, Michael Davis and David Davis.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Edward Hiteshew.
