Ruby Faison Holmes

Mrs. Ruby Faison Holmes, 70, of The Heritage of Raleigh and formerly
of Goldsboro, NC, died Tuesday at Rex Healthcare Center.
A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Bennie
Faison and Lucille Wall Faison and was married to the late Robert S.
Holmes. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Fletcher
Faison. Mrs. Holmes was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of
Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, 2002, in Goldsboro,
NC at 4 p.m. at the Black Memorial Chapel of First Presbyterian
Church with Rev. Murry Haber officiating. Burial will follow in
Maplewood Cemetery in Clayton, NC.
Mrs. Holmes is survived by her daughter, Charlene Faison Holmes
Willard of Raleigh, and her sons, Robert Joseph Holmes of Dayton, OH
and Mark Christopher Holmes of Raleigh; a sister, Peggy Evans of
Clayton; and four grandchildren, Courtney Lauren Willard, Alyssa
Erin Willard, Robert Graham Holmes and Christopher James Holmes.
Memorials may be made to the Robert S. and Ruby F. Holmes Memorial
Scholarship Fund at Tri County Electric Membership Corporation, P.O.
Box 130, Dudley, NC 28333 or to First Presbyterian Church, 1101 E.
Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. at
Seymour Funeral Home, Goldsboro, NC.
