Leonard Curtis Jackson


Goldsboro – Mr. Leonard Curtis Jackson, 88, died Friday at Britthaven Nursing Home.

A native of Duplin County, he was the son of the late John and Barbara Rhodes Jackson and was married to the late Ruby Stewart Jackson. Mr. Jackson was a retired security guard with the North Carolina Prison Systems and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was the recipient of 5 bronze stars.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 4:00 P. M. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Frasher officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

He is survived by a cousin, Margaret Carter and husband Woodrow of Goldsboro; nieces, Marilyn Mitchell, Sandra Castle, Beverly Dulong, and La Rue Grantham; nephews, Curtis Barnes and Richard Barnes, and Billy Britt.

He was preceded in death by sisters; Lula Perkins, Adell Barnes, Julia Britt; brothers, Letroy Jackson and Furney Jackson.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Carter, 2002 Hilltop Lane, Goldsboro.
