Louise Bailey Jackson

Goldsboro – Louise Bailey Jackson, 80, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Louise was born in Wayne County on April 7, 1927 to the late John Edward Bailey and Cora West Bailey. She was married to the late David Rose Jackson, Sr. Louise retired as a supervisor with R.G. Barry in Goldsboro. She was a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arthur DeChent and Rev. Barry Stallings officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Louise is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Jackson of Grantham and Rella Jernigan of Grantham; her grandson, David Jernigan and wife, Glenna Estes of Taylorsville, IN; and her great-grandchildren, Kameron, Zoey, Tazia and Tiara. She is also survived by her fiancée, Rudolph Boyd of Goldsboro; her brother-in-law, Osco W. Jackson and wife, Ruth of Monroe; her sisters-in-law, Tempie J. Jones of Nahunta, Hilda B. Jackson of Littleton, and Virginia Bailey of Faison; her special friends, Annie Hollowell, Rose Mozingo and Mildred Pate; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Rose Jackson, Jr. and twelve brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. and other times at her home, 2973 U.S. Hwy. 13 South, Goldsboro.
