Shirley Annette James

Goldsboro - Mrs. Shirley Annette James, 64, died Saturday at the House of Fordham.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Nebraska Coats and Grace Hoffman Coats. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Hoffman and John Hoffman.

Mrs. James is survived by her sons, Tim Hewes and wife, Lisa of Goldsboro and Kelly James of Texas; a daughter, Kim James of Seven Springs; her grandchildren, Jamie Shivar, Stephen Shivar, Jessica Shivar, Krysanee Shivar and Lacey Hewes; her sisters, Joyce Adkins and husband Norman of Deep Run and Geraldine Smith and husband James of Virginia; her brothers, Austin Hoffman and wife, Barbara of Kinston and Robert Hoffman and wife Margaret of Okalahoma.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the House of Fordham, 412 N. William Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will gather to greet family and friends on Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
