Lois Taylor Jeffreys

Goldsboro – Mrs. Lois Taylor Jeffreys, 76, died Thursday, February 13, 2003 at home following an extended illness.

She was born March 21, 1926 in Goldsboro to the late Edward Francis Taylor and Ethel Rouse Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eleanor Taylor McCrary.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Gene Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Mrs. Jeffreys is survived by her husband of 53 years, James T. Jeffreys, Jr.; daughters, Lyn J. Lewis and husband, Andy and Gay J. Elmore of Goldsboro; sons, Jimmy Jeffreys and wife Karla and Taylor Jeffreys and wife Sandy of Goldsboro; sister, Lorraine T. Smith of Falls Church, VA; nine grandchildren, Alison Lewis, Carolyn Lewis, Jennifer Lewis, Ellen Elmore, Thomas Elmore, Kathryn Jeffreys, Elizabeth Jeffreys, Morgan Jeffreys and Austin Jeffreys, all of Goldsboro and a special caregiver, Pat Coley.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Jeffreys name to St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 984, Goldsboro, NC 27533.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the residence.
