Hazel Cole Jinnette


Hazel Cole Jinnette, 81, died Sunday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Thesley Alison Cole and Julia Alice Brown. She was married to the late George Hartley and Robert Jinnette. Mrs. Jinnette was retired from Goldsboro Iron and Metal with 35 years of service.

She was a member of Westwood United Methodist Church, where she served as past treasurer of the church, past president of the United Methodist Women and served on the Westwood United Methodist Church Administrative Board.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Donald Stewart, Richard Cordell and Fred Carraway officiating. Graveside services were held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.

She is survived by her daughter, Joyce C. Corbett of Goldsboro; son, Donald F. Hartley and wife, Sybil of Goldsboro; sisters, Ruby Barbour and Helen Pierce both of Princeton; brother, Edgar Cole of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Kent Corbett, Keith Corbett, Kris orbett, Donna Haumersser and Timothy Hartley; 5 great-grandchildren; stepdaughter, Darlene Casey and husband, Bobby of Goldsboro; step- randchildren, Dean Wilkins and Kimberly Wilkins.
