Edith Lobb John

Goldsboro – Mrs. Edith Lobb John, 94, of 102 Agona Place in the
Rosewood Community, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. John was born in Pennsylvania on July 14, 1913 to the late
Oscar Farmer Lobb and Rae Fryer Lobb was married to the late Norman
Jacob John. She was executive secretary to the Superintendent of
Education in Rochester, New York. Mrs. John was a Red Cross
volunteer and a member of the Oakland and Rosewood Extension
Homemakers. She was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church. Mrs.
John was a former member of the St. Mary’s Golden Age Club and the
Ladies Guild.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s
Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S. presiding.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. John is survived by her daughter, Patricia John Tull and
husband, Donald K. Tull of Goldsboro; her son Norman Randolph John
and wife, Denise of Wayne, PA; six grandchildren and four great
grandchildren.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to St. Mary
Roman Catholic Church, 1000 N. Jefferson Avenue, Goldsboro, NC
27530.
A wake service will be held Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral
Home followed by a visitation for family and friends until 8:00 p.m. |
