Retha Mae Jordan Johnson
 Goldsboro – Mrs. Retha Mae Jordan Johnson, 75, of 4416 U.S. 13 North, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Richard Jordan and Glossie Holland Jordan. Mrs. Johnson retired from R.G. Barry and Company in Goldsboro with many years of service. She was a devoted member of the Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and the Sunday school secretary and treasurer. Mrs. Johnson also served as the secretary and treasurer of the Women’s Ministries at the Tabernacle Holiness Church.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Berry House officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Willard Howard Johnson; her daughters, Jerrie Best and husband Donny of Greenville, Kaye McLawhon and husband, Billy of Goldsboro, Susan Pearsall and husband Len of Mount Olive, Charlene Thomas and husband, James of Goldsboro; her son, Willard Howard Johnson, Jr. and wife Lee of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren, Jeff Best and wife Eileen of Greenville, Ashley Hignite and husband, Keith of Greenville, Melanie Bryson and husband, Chris of Seven Springs, Billy McLawhon and wife Jayme of Pikeville, Wesley Pearsall of Greensboro, Brad Pearsall of Mount Olive, Jae Thomas of Goldsboro, Karrie Johnson of Goldsboro and Trey Johnson of Goldsboro; three great-grandchildren, Mallory Best, Haven Best and Hunter Bryson; her sisters, Clara Lynch of Rougemont, Betty Grimes of Goldsboro, Margaret Grimes of Pikeville and Tiffany Pearce of Dudley; and her brothers, Wilton Jordan of Ayden and Brooks Jordan of Elm City.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
