Johnnie Wright Jones

Johnnie Wright Jones, 55, died Monday.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of Kathleen Kennedy Jones of Goldsboro and the late Marvin Jones and was the widow of Lucy Irene Melton Jones. He was employed with the Meadows Retirement Community.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held in East Duplin Memorial Gardens in Beulaville.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Johnetta Pittman and husband, Samuel; son, Marvin Leon Jones and fiancée, Crystal Driggers; sisters, Joyce Ann Lane and Judy Tew and husband, Charlie; brother, Jerry Jones; 6 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmie Jones.
