Raymond Leonard Jones, Sr.

Goldsboro – Mr. Raymond Leonard Jones, Sr., 85, of 1217 Newton Drive, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Greene County, he was the son of the late Robert Jones and Mildred Wiggs Jones and was married to the late Grace Newsome Jones. Mr. Jones was retired from Kemp Furniture and was a member at El Bethel Assembly.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Holder officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. Jones is survived by his sons, R.L. Jones, Jr. and wife, Gail Stewart Jones of Four Oaks and Zealy Jones and wife, Nancy of Tallahassee, FL; three grandchildren, Zealy Jones, Jr., Audrey Jones Smith and Zachary Alan Jones; and a great-granddaughter, Jenna Grace Smith; a sister, Shirley Jones Brickey of Stephens City, VA and a brother, Milford Jones of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
