Harvey Leland Jordan
Mount Olive – Mr. Harvey Leland Jordan, 65, of 5013 U.S. 13 South,
died Monday at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of Minnie Florence Woodard
Jordan and the late Harvey Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a letter carrier
with the United States Postal Service and was a member of the North
Carolina Rural Letter Carrier Association. He was a member of Pine
Forest United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at White Oak
Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ken Thompson officiating. Burial will
follow in the Jordan Family Cemetery.
Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Denning Jordan; his
son, Harvey Leland Jordan II and wife Sonia Lynette Musgrave Jordan
of Goldsboro; a daughter, Janet Marie Jordan Grice and husband,
Kenneth Wayne Grice of Goldsboro; his brother, Edward Hooks Jordan
of Goldsboro; a sister, Doris Rebecca Jordan Saunders of Trinity;
and his grandchildren, Kristina Dianne Jordan, Amy Elizabeth Jordan
and Kenny Wayne Grice.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at Seymour Funeral Home from
6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
