Geraldine Exum Kent

Goldsboro – Mrs. Geraldine Exum Kent, 61, of 1506 Darby Place, died at her residence.

A native of Hahira, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Cleo Lastinger Exum. Mrs. Kent was an artist and an Episcopalian.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Gene Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Richard P. Kent, III; two daughters, Laura Exum Kent and husband, Clay Yeates of Wilmington and Katherine Kent Hopper of Greenville; a son, Richard P. Kent, IV of Austin, Texas; a son-in-law, Chadwick I. Hopper of Greenville; a sister, Janice Exum Pittman of Valdosta, Georgia; two brothers, Charles F. Exum and A. Wayne Exum both of Valdosta, Georgia; and four grandchildren, Christian M. Hopper, Nicholas S. Hopper, Harrison T. Hopper and Marlee S. Yeates.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Carson E. Exum.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
