Inez Edmundson Lancaster

Pikeville – Mrs. Inez Edmundson Lancaster, 85, went to be with the Lord on Monday afternoon at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Inez was born in Wayne County on February 6, 1923 to the late William H. Edmundson and Jennie Yelverton Edmundson. She was married 56 years to the late Johnnie Wilbert Lancaster. Inez was a homemaker and a faithful member of Yelverton United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Williams and Rev. Greg Mozer officiating. Interment will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery.

Inez is survived by her daughter, Linda Hamlett of Goldsboro; her granddaughter, Denise Kelly of Goldsboro; and her great-grandson, Cameron.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Edmundson, Roy Edmundson and Add Edmundson; and her sisters, Elizabeth Reeves and Louise Edmundson.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of her daughter, 2129 NC Hwy. 111 North, Goldsboro.
