Johnnie Wilbert Lancaster
 Pikeville – Mr. Johnnie Wilbert Lancaster, 92, of 916 Bartlett Road, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 19, 2002 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Deems Addie Lancaster and Senora “Nona” Smith Lancaster. Mr. Lancaster was a retired farmer in the Saulston Community and worked with Guardian Care Nursing Home for 16 years. He was a member of Yelverton United Methodist Church. Mr. Lancaster served in the United States Army during World War II.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Hardy officiating. Interment will be Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Eureka Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Lancaster is survived by his wife of 56 years, Inez Edmundson Lancaster; a daughter, Linda Hamlett of Goldsboro; a granddaughter, Denise Kelly and a great-grandson, Cameron of Goldsboro; and a sister, Elva Halfacre of Pikeville.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Lemley Lancaster, Sidney Lancaster, Arnold Lancaster and Norman Lancaster, all of the Saulston Community and Wyatt Lancaster of Maryland; and two sisters, Gertrude Dees of New Bern and Lois Fetterley of Florida.

The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday and other times at the residence.
