Mildred Hooks Lancaster

Mrs.
Mildred Hooks Lancaster, 83, of Pikeville, NC and widow of Tommy
Bryant Lancaster, died Saturday at New Hanover Regional Medical
Center in Wilmington where she lived with her daughter for the past
year and a half. She was the daughter of the late Fred Lonnie Hooks
and Maggie Iona Edgerton Hooks.
She was a member of Antioch Original Free Will Baptist Church where
she had been an active member for many years.
Mrs. Lancaster is survived by her daughter, (Tommie) Ann Lancaster
Rothrock of Wilmington; grandchildren, Stacey Pate and Joy A. Pate
of Pikeville, Bryant Fred Lancaster, Jeff Lancaster, Mark Lancaster
and Sherri L. Ball of Lake Norman area; and five
great-grandchildren, Damon Pate, Sarah Virginia Lancaster, Nikki
Lancaster, Cory Lancaster, and Maggie Ann Lancaster.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ginny Lancaster Pate and a
son, Bryant Fred "Bud" Lancaster.
The family will receive friends at 2113 Big Daddy’s Road, Pikeville,
NC Monday, and Tuesday from 10:00 – 11:45 a.m. at Seymour Funeral
Home, where the funeral service will be held at 12 noon with the
Reverend Otis Hamm officiating. A sunset burial service will be held
at the Pikeville Cemetery at 5:30 p.m. for family and friends.
