Pauline Smith Lancaster

Pikeville – Mrs. Pauline Smith Lancaster, 88, of 458 True Vine Road, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Smith and Leslie S. Smith and was married to the late Seigfried Lancaster.

Graveside services will be Friday, May 24, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Grady officiating.

Mrs. Lancaster is survived by her daughter, Shirley L. Strickland and husband, Thomas E. Strickland of Goldsboro; and her grandchildren, Thlanda Howell and husband, Michael, Eddie Lancaster and wife, Sharon, Cathy Lancaster, Larry Strickland and wife, Pam and Dr. Ruth Ann Strickland Burlinson and husband, John.


She was preceded in death a son, Cooper Lancaster and a brother, Arnold Lee Smith.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her residence.
