Mildred Gurley Lane

Goldsboro – Mildred Gurley Lane, of 168 St. John Church Road, died Thursday morning at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverends Danny Smith and John Moran officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Archie Gurley and Pattie Costin Gurley. She was a member of St. John Free Will Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred D. Lane; daughter, Susan L. Parker and husband, Richard of Goldsboro; son, Everette Eugene Sasser and wife, Karen of Mooresville, IN; grandchildren, Ashley Parker, Gene Sasser and
Kevin Sasser; great-granddaughter, Kaycee Sasser; and a sister, Verlyn Gurley Palmer and husband, Gene.

She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers.
