Julia Clyde Gurley Langley

Princeton
– Mrs. Julia Clyde Gurley Langley, 83, died Wednesday at the Brian
Center in Goldsboro.
A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt
Gurley and Virginia Crocker Gurley and was the widow of Willie
Bryant Langley, Jr. Mrs. Langley was a member of Ebenezer United
Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Rose Hicks officiating. Interment will be
Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Langley is survived by her daughters, Susan Grantham of
Grantham, Becky Lane of Kinston, Linda Westbrook-Best of Goldsboro
and Teresa Richardson and husband, Dennis of Princeton; her sister,
Edna Thomas of Pikeville; her brother, Emmitt Cooper “E.C.” Gurley
of Jacksonville, FL; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Glenn Gurley.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Ebenezer United
Methodist Church, 3859 W U.S. 70 Hwy., Goldsboro, NC 27530.
The family will greet friends following the service at Seymour
Funeral Home and other times at her residence, 226 Damon Drive,
Princeton.
