Julia Clyde Gurley Langley

Princeton – Mrs. Julia Clyde Gurley Langley, 83, died Wednesday at the Brian Center in Goldsboro.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Gurley and Virginia Crocker Gurley and was the widow of Willie Bryant Langley, Jr. Mrs. Langley was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rose Hicks officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Langley is survived by her daughters, Susan Grantham of Grantham, Becky Lane of Kinston, Linda Westbrook-Best of Goldsboro and Teresa Richardson and husband, Dennis of Princeton; her sister, Edna Thomas of Pikeville; her brother, Emmitt Cooper “E.C.” Gurley of Jacksonville, FL; ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Glenn Gurley.

The family will greet friends following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her residence, 226 Damon Drive, Princeton.
