Betty Gray Lassiter

Goldsboro – Mrs. Betty Gray Lassiter, 76, died Sunday, June 9, 2002,
at the home of her daughter in Nashville, TN.
A native of Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late
Harris B. Gray and Elsie Marie V. Gray and was married to the late
MSGT (Retired) John Edwin Lassiter. Mrs. Lassiter had formerly
worked with Belk and Weil’s as a seamstress.
A commital service will be at the Mausoleum Chapel of Wayne Memorial
Park Friday, June 14, 2002, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a memorial
service at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Lassiter is survived by her daughter, Laura L. McComas and her
husband, Don of Nolensville, TN; a son, Michael Verbillis and wife,
Debra of Coeurd’Alene, Ida.; a brother, Robert (Bob) Gray of Wilson;
and six grandchildren, Demitri Verbillis, Alexandria Verbillis, Tony
Verbillis, John McComas, Elizabeth McComas and Mark McComas.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 13, 2002, from 6-8
p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
