Luby Daniel Laws

Goldsboro – Mr. Luby Daniel Laws, 96, of 297 Loop Road, died Sunday at Wayne Maemorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Thomas Isaac Laws and Delodious Brock Laws and was married to the late Clara Lee Taylor Laws. Mr. Laws was a retired farmer in the Grantham Community and was a member of Falling Creek United Methodist Church. While living in the Grantham Community, he was a member of the Grantham Grange, the Woodmen of the World and the Farm Bureau.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Craig Langston and Rev. Lee Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Falling Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Laws is survived by his daughters, Janet L. Bryan and husband Jerry of Goldsboro and Ann L. Littleton and husband David of Goldsboro; a daughter-in-law, Velma Laws of Durham; his grandchildren, Jeanette Zimmers and husband David of Cary, Jeffrey Bryan and wife Donna of Goldsboro, Jonathon Bryan and wife Renee of Goldsboro, Lisa Byrd and husband Dwayne of Durham, Regina Woody and husband York of Hillsborough, David Scott Littleton of Raleigh, LeeAnne Edmonds and husband David of Goldsboro and Matthew P. Littleton of Goldsboro; his great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Taylor Bryan, Natalie Zimmers, Abbie Zimmers, Mckenzie Bryan, Cooper Bryan, Clarissa Woody and Jessalyn Byrd; and his special caregivers, Jo Musick, Karen Hodges, Natasha Artis, Emma Cox and Geraldine Benson.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Luby Ennis Laws.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Janet and Jerry Bryan, 262 Loop Road, Goldsboro.
