Herman "Bunny" Burnett Lewis
Goldsboro – S. Sgt. (Ret) U.S.A.F. Herman
"Bunny" Burnett Lewis, 73, of 227 Bryant Circle, died
Sunday at Britthaven Nursing Home in Snow Hill. He was a native of
South Carolina and a Vietnam veteran.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00
p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Jones
officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Wayne
Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane
Brown Lewis; daughters, Tina Lewis of Greenville and Sandy Hodge and
husband, Craig of Clarksville, AR; son, Eddy Lewis of Ignacio, CO; 4
grandchildren; sisters, Mary Louise Scott and husband, Leon Scott of
Harker’s Island, Nell Kederick of Johnsville, SC, Jean Soloman and
Lett Goodman both of Pembroke Pines, FL and Essie Morris of
Johnsville, SC; brothers, Rembert Lewis of Effingham, SC, Norman
Altman and wife, Irene of Hemingway, SC, and Nedo Altman and wife,
Theresa of Johnsville, SC; special nieces and nephews, Pam and Eddie
Tyler, Kathy and Billy Poe Jones and Wayne and Teresa Vereen all of
Conway, SC; and a number of other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at
Seymour Funeral Home from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and other times at the
residence.
