Louise Parker Lewis

– Mrs. Louise Parker Lewis, 88, of 2512 N. William Street, died
Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Mrs. Lewis was born in Johnston County and was married to the late
Joel Clifton “Pete” Lewis. She taught for the North Carolina Public
Schools for 43 years.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Jack Sauls officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne
Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her son-in-law, Johnny Merritt of
Goldsboro; her grandson, John Michael Merritt of Wake Forest; her
brother, Wiley Braxton Parker of Henderson; and her sisters, Wilma
P. Howard of Selma and Helen P. West of Cary.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Lewis Merritt and
five brothers, Harold Parker, William Parker, Earl Parker, Otis
Parker and Carl Parker.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at
Seymour Funeral Home.
