Virginia Hancock Lewis

Asheville - Mrs. Virginia Hancock Lewis,91, died Saturday at Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Center in Asheville. A native of Richmond, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Grace Walton Hancock and the widow of James Spencer Lewis, Jr. Mrs. Lewis was a member of St. Giles Chapel at Deerfield Retirement Center.

Graveside services will be 1 P. M. Wednesday at Willow Dale Cemetery in Goldsboro with Rev. Raby Edwards officiating.

Surviving: son, James Spencer Lewis, III of Waynesville, N. C.;

Three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N. C. 27834 or to Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Center, 1617 Hendersonville Rd., Asheville, N. C. 28803.

The family will receive friends following the service.
