Morris Andrew Lockerby


Dudley - Mr. Morris Andrew "Lucky" Lockerby, 62, of 209 Potts Road, died Friday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Mr. Lockerby was born in Chittenden, Vermont and spent most of life in Isle LaMotte, Vermont. He was the son of Sabra Adaline LaSelle Lockerby of Saint Albans, Vermont and the late Edward Earl Lockerby. Mr. Lockerby was retired from environmental control with the United States Air Force and was an active member of Adamsville Church of God, Goldsboro.

Funeral services will be Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Adamsville Church of God with Rev. J. Wesley Jarman and Rev. Odell Dyson officiating. Interment with full military honors will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.


In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Ann S. Lockerby; sons, Curtis Lockerby and wife, Kay of Goldsboro and Daniel Lockerby and wife, Glenda of LaGrange; daughters, Julie L. Hart and husband, Donald of Dudley and Dana L. Stocks of Dudley; brothers, Leon Lockerby, Eldon Lockerby and Carl Lockerby, all of Isle LaMotte, Vermont, Milo Lockerby of Grand Isle, Vermont and Harvey Lockerby of Alburg, Vermont; and his grandchildren, Andrew Lockerby, Danielle Lockerby, Bobby Stocks, Jr., Morris Bradley Stocks and Hayleigh Stocks.

He was preceded in death by a son, Morris Andrew Lockerby; brothers, Alvin Lockerby and Donald Lockerby; and a sister, Ina Roberts.

The family will receive friends Monday following the funeral service at the church and other times at the home of his son, Curtis Lockerby, 104 Vinwood Ave, Goldsboro.
