Nicole Marie Long

Pikeville – Miss Nicole Marie Long, 15, of 5679 Fort Run Road, died Monday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A native of Austin, TX, she was the daughter of TSGT David William Long, Sr. and Cynthia Ann Landrum Long. Nicole was a junior at Eastern Wayne High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, the Fellowship of Christian Students and the Math Club. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Goldsboro, where she was active in the Power House Youth Ministry.

A celebration of Nicole’s life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God with Pastor Ralph Painter and Youth Pastor Terry Gainer officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, David William Long, Jr. of Greensboro; maternal grandparents, Doug and Mae Landrum of Farwell, TX; paternal grandparents, the Rev. Marvin Long and Betty Long of Clinton, MO and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
