Eleanor Griffin Magill

Goldsboro – Mrs. Eleanor Griffin Magill, 81, of 502 Todd Drive, died Saturday at Britthaven Nursing Home in Snow Hill. Mrs. Magill was born in Wayne County to the late William Henry Griffin Jr. and Mary Vinyard Griffin.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Black Chapel of First Presbyterian Church with Dr. William Hufham officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Mrs. Magill is survived by her husband, Charles B. Magill; her step-children, Diane Magill of Maryland and Linda Magill Sayer of Iowa; her brother, W.H. Griffin III and wife Elizabeth of Goldsboro; her sister-in-law, Margaret McCarty of Abilene, TX; her nieces, Mary Griffin of Hingam, MA, Margaret Griffin Delbridge of Goldsboro and Mary Elizabeth Griffin of Goldsboro; her great nieces, Miller Delbridge and Grace Delbridge; her great-nephews, Hunter Brown and Wilson Brown; three step-grandchildren; and a special friend, Freddie Stroud.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at her residence.
