Gearline Forsythe Maitland

Goldsboro -- Mrs. Gearline Forsythe Maitland, 70, of 203 Quaker Dr., died Wednesday at Wake Medical Center. 

She was born in Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Jake and Dehlia Longmire Forsythe and the widow of Danny Joe Maitland. Mrs. Maitland was a member of the Faith Believers Outreach.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Daughtry officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Maitland is survived by her daughters, Jerry M. Chafin and husband, Mark of Southport, Gracie Ann Morgan and husband, William of Greenville, Angela Michelle Pigott of Dudley and Barbara Gail Herring and husband, David of Goldsboro; her son, Danny Joe Maitland, Jr. and wife, Janet of Sacramento, CA; eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home.
