Thelma Jones Mauldin

Goldsboro – Mrs. Thelma Jones Mauldin, 82, of 613 Ridge Drive, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Needham Carroll Massengill and Geneva Holt Massengill and was married to the late Jasper C. Jones, Charles J. Britt and Thomas Mauldin. Mrs. Mauldin retired from General Electric with 19 ½ years of service and was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jimmy Whitfield and Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Interment will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Mauldin is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Mary R. Jones of Goldsboro; two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Neal McCord of Goldsboro and Betty and Thurston Price of Goldsboro; two sisters, Rosa Davis of Goldsboro and Annie Braswell of Princeton; a brother, Thel Massengill of Goldsboro; seven grandchildren, Eddie Price and wife Renee, Cleve Jones and wife Angela, Steve Jones and wife Wendy, Kevin Jones and wife Rachel, Ken Pennington and wife Kristi, Wendy Thomas and husband Chris and Robin Thaxton and husband Robert; fourteen great-grandchildren; eight step-children and eighteen step-grandchildren.

Grandsons of Mrs. Mauldin will be pallbearers.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 100 First Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at her residence.
