Arthur Raymond McCann

Goldsboro – Arthur Raymond McCann, 71, died on Friday, May 9, 2008 at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

Mr. McCann was born in New York on May 13, 1936 and was retired from the United States Marine Corp with 25 years of service. After his military career, he worked with Rouse Construction Company in Kinston.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Full military honors will follow the service on the front lawn.

Mr. McCann is survived by his wife of 16 years, Kay D. McCann; his daughter, Nicole Hansen and husband, Jonas of Kings Mountain; his step-daughters, Phyllis McCorkhill and husband, Chuck of Norfolk, VA, Lora Chandra and husband, Alan of Broken Arrow, OK and Elaine Moody of Seven Springs; his step-son, Edward Jones of Broken Arrow, OK; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at his home, 407 Dove Place, Goldsboro.
