Diane Vail McClenny

Diane V. McClenny, loving wife and mother died Tuesday the seventh of January at the age of 55. She was with her husband in Myrtle Beach doing what she loved. Diane chose to give her heart to others and refused to save enough for herself. The queen of hearts was loved by everyone she touched. She never met anyone she couldn’t make smile.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Andy, her son, James, her soon to be daughter, Jody, her mother Sophie and “Pop” Clint DeBrito, her brother, Steve and his wife Yvonne, her in-laws, Alice “Ma-Ma” and James “Pa Pa” McClenny, and special sisters the “F.L.B.’s.”

Diane never turned her back to anyone in need. She never met anyone who was not a friend. She will be missed on the long slow boat rides at the creek. There’s never been a better first mate. She has been a mother, a friend, and confidant to so many.

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Bame and Rev. Paul Dunham officiating. Interment will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Pikeville Cemetery. The family will gather following the service to receive friends.
