Rufus Memory

June 10, 1932 - August 16, 2001

Rufus Farrell Memory (Ret. Major U. S. A . F.) 69, died Thursday at his residence.  A native of Columbus County, N. C., he was the son of the late William Rufus and Gladys Johnson Memory and the brother of the late William Joseph Memory.  Major Memory served in the United States Air Force for twenty-one years and then was principal of the ACFS Skill Center at the Fort Bragg Army Continuing Education Center for ten years. 

Funeral services were held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Robert Coats officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.

Major Memory is survived by his wife of forty seven years Nellie Brooks Memory; daughter, Patricia Nedina Memory; niece, Kathy Memory Britt; nephews, Joseph Memory and Robert Memory.
