Walter Julian Mercer
Spartanburg, S. C. - Mr. Walter Julian Mercer, 64, died Friday at
Pitt Memorial Hospital. A native of Lumberton, N. C., he was the son
of the late Walter and Ina Parks Mercer. Mr. Mercer was the CEO of
The Art Gallery, Inc. and served his country in the United States
Air Force.
Surviving: sons, Julian Boyd Mercer and wife Lisa and Joel Barton
Mercer and wife Tracie all of Spartanburg, Jeremy Brett Mercer and
wife Jennifer of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Garris Boyd, Callie
Parks, Isabelle Isaacs Mercer, Chelsea Brooks Mercer, Hayley Madison
Mercer, and Jeremy B. Mercer, Jr.; sisters, Betty M. Easley of
Beaufort, N. C., Linda M. Gray of Pensacola, Florida and Carolyn M.
Grant of Goldsboro.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Spartanburg, S. C.
