Alline Minshew

Garner – Alline Minshew, 83, of Garner, died Saturday at the Raleigh Rehab Center.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas Minshew and Ida Victoria Strickland Minshew. Ms. Minshew operated a boarding house in Goldsboro for a number of years and was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Jim Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Eureka Cemetery.

Ms. Minshew is survived by her granddaughters, Sherry Jones Horne and husband, Danny of Garner and Glenda Jones Lewis and husband, Max of Dunn; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Helen Kearney Jones and her sister, Mabel Bass.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home .
