Joseph Anthony Miranda, Sr.

Goldsboro – Mr. Joseph Anthony Miranda, Sr., 77, 3904 Central Heights Road, died Monday at Wake Medical Center.

A native of New Rochelle, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph John Miranda and Lena Gatti Miranda. Mr. Miranda was retired from the United States Air Force and was a former manager with the New York Telephone Company.

A Mass of Christian of Burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S. presiding.

Mr. Miranda is survived by his wife, Josephine Palumba Miranda; his sons, Joseph Anthony Miranda, Jr. of Mount Vernon, NY and Michael Miranda of Bronx, NY; a daughter, Marie M. Daudry of Raleigh; a brother, William Miranda of New Jersey and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
