Eunice Pittman Mitchell

Goldsboro – Mrs. Eunice Pittman Mitchell, 80, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Pittman and Zettie Bass Pittman and was married to the late Harvey Clinnon Mitchell. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Pinkney Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Fred Clifford and Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.

Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her daughters, Judy Aycock and husband Michael of Pikeville and Shirley Smith and husband Ray of Pikeville; her sisters, Lois Mitchell of New Hope and Christine Mitchell of New Hope; six grandchildren, Marcy A. Lamm and husband Kelly, Holly Aycock, Tim Aycock and wife Kathy, Ryan Smith, Brad Smith and Lori Smith; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mike and Judy Aycock, 3429 Pikeville-Princeton Road, Pikeville.
