Blanche Eloise Wayne Nelson

Goldsboro NC -- Mrs. Blanche Eloise Wayne Nelson, 91, of 2902 E. Ash St., died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. A native of Craven County, she was the daughter of the late David and Blanche Dunn Wayne and the widow of Earl O. Nelson. Mrs. Nelson and her husband were former owners and operators of Nelson Photo Shop. She was a member of Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church. For many years she was also active in the American Legion Auxiliary and a volunteer at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday in the Mausoleum Chapel at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. T. R. Miller officiating.

Surviving: daughter, Ann Smith and husband Jim of Goldsboro; son, Darrell Nelson and wife Kay of Richmond, Va.; sisters, Martha Taylor and Lucille Rowe both of New Bern; sisters-in-law, Celia Wayne of Kinston and Virginia Wayne of Conn.; brother-in-law, E. J. Carawon of New Bern; half-sister, Lenore Gibson; half-brothers, David Earl Wayne and Howard Wayne; grandchildren, Jimmy Smith, Cheryl Denny, and Christopher Nelson; five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends Monday night from 7-8 PM at Seymour Funeral Home.
