Amanda Ann Olsen

Goldsboro – Amanda Ann Olsen, 15, died Saturday, December 27, 2003, at Duke University Medical Center from complications with Leukemia.

Amanda was born in Kefflavik, Iceland to Mark and Doreen Reackhoff Olsen. She was a rising sophomore at Eastern Wayne High School where she played with the high school band. Amanda was a member of Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. T.R. Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brothers, Brandon Mark Olsen and Brian William Nieman; her sister, Ann-Marie Gottman; her maternal grandmother, Henrietta Reackhoff of Goldsboro; her paternal grandfather, Theodore R. Olsen of Menominee, Michigan; paternal grandmother, Mattie V. Olsen of Stephenson, Michigan; her paternal great-grandmother, Margaret Binder; and a number of aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Amanda Ann Olsen for expenses, 103 Ellis Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at 103 Ellis Drive, Goldsboro.
