Robert Earl O'Quinn



Seven Springs – On Thursday Robert Earl O’Quinn, 73, of 211 Greenfield Cemetery Road, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A native of Lenoir County, he was the son of the late Johnny O’Quinn and Ethel Tyndall O’Quinn and was the retired owner and operator of O’Quinn Variety Store. Mr. O’Quinn had also owned and operated Faircloth Moving and Storage.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Billy Seate officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mr. O’Quinn is survived by his wife, Ellen B. O’Quinn; his children, Carmen O’Quinn of Seven Springs, Durwood O’Quinn and wife, Margaret of Maryland, Patrick O’Quinn and wife, Rose of Goldsboro, Patricia O. Warren and husband, John of Goldsboro and Chris O’Quinn of Mount Olive; his sister, Irene Smith of Duplin Co.; a brother, Roger O’Quinn of Hendersonville; his grandchildren, Boogie O’Quinn, Erica O. Raynor, Jackie O’Quinn, Stacy O’Quinn, Michelle Richardson and husband, Joe, Sabrina Frizzelle, Rhonda Blizzard, Robert O’Quinn, Brian O’Quinn, Mariah Fisher and husband, Jeff, Crystal Boudy and husband, Joe, Shane O’Quinn, Chuckie O’Quinn, Tara Warren, John Thomas Warren, Shannon Rogers, Brandy O’Quinn and John Lancaster, Jr.; and his great-grandchildren, Cameron O’Quinn, Ashton O’Quinn, Zachary O’Quinn, Jordon O’Quinn, Christian O’Quinn, Randi O’Quinn, Michael Richardson, Scooter Richardson, Tyler Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Makayla Raynor, Justin Frizzelle, Josh Frizzelle, Amber O’Quinn, Destiny Boudy, Serena Boudy and Carissa Fisher.

He was preceded in death by his son, Edgar O’Quinn, Sr.; his brothers, Johnny O’Quinn and Bill O’Quinn and his sister, Virginia Chambers.

He was a loving Husband, Father, Granddaddy, Opa and Papa. Loved and cherished by his family and friends, he truly will be missed.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Patricia and John Warren, 600 E. Walnut Street, Goldsboro.
