Darlene Goldman Padgett

Panama City, Florida – Mrs. Barbara Darlene Goldman Padgett, 61, of 2535 Wakulla Ave., Panama City, Florida and formerly of Goldsboro died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro.

A native of Cumberland County, North Carolina she was the daughter of Nello Goldman and Alyne Benson Jones. Mrs. Padgett was a registered nurse with Wayne Memorial Hospital before retiring and had volunteered with Home, Health and Hospice in Goldsboro. She was a member of the House of Prayer in Panama City.

Graveside services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Lutrell Spell officiating. The family will greet friends at the cemetery following the service.

Mrs. Padgett is survived by her husband, Earol F. Padgett; a daughter, Cathy Jinnette Wiley of Goldsboro; a son, Morris Jinnette of Monroe, GA; her step-children, Michael Earol Padgett of Fayetteville, Wanda Grace Chamberlain of Fayetteville and Freddie Padgett of Jacksonville, FL; her brother, Mike Jones of Goldsboro and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Padgett will lie in state today at Seymour Funeral Home until 2 p.m.
