Dixie Hodges Parker

Goldsboro – Mrs. Dixie Hodges Parker, 92, died Friday
at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A native of Morgan County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late
Thomas Franklin Hodges and Ella Speake Hodges and was the widow of
Emulon Bernard Parker. Mrs. Parker was a member of Rosewood First
Baptist Church and was active in the senior groups of Falling Creek
Baptist Church, Love Memorial Baptist Church and Rosewood First
Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Grantham Home
Extensions and a charter member of the local AARP.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3 p.m at Rosewood First
Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Braswell and Rev. E.C. Mattocks
officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Parker is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Rosewood
First Baptist Church, 562 Hwy. 581 South, Goldsboro, NC 27530 or the
American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
The family will gather Sunday from 2-3 p.m. at Rosewood First
Baptist Church to greet friends.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
