L. K. Parnell

Princeton – Mr. L.K. (Grancy) Parnell, 69, of 211 Dennis Drive, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Lee County, South Carolina, he was the son of the late William King Parnell and Estelle Owens Parnell. For over 30 years, Mr. Parnell repaired appliances in Wayne County before retiring. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mount Olive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Mausoleum Chapel of Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Bartlett officiating. Entombment will follow the service.

Mr. Parnell is survived by his wife, Mamie Letchworth Parnell; his sisters, Faye Callahan of Waycross, GA and Vivian Hamilton of Goldsboro; and his brother, Harvey Parnell of Darlington, SC.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, Vivian Hamilton, 157 Nealy Drive, Goldsboro.
