James D. Parrish

Goldsboro – Mr. James D. Parrish, 79, of Woodards Retirement Village, died Wednesday at Britthaven Nursing Home.

A native of Johnston County, he was the son of the late Albert Parrish and Viola Glass and was retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Company.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.

He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Turner Parrish; his daughters, Brenda Taylor of Fayetteville, Frances Parrish of Goldsboro, Shelby Thornton of Goldsboro and Annette Stevens of Goldsboro; his sons, Ronald A. Parrish of Dudley and Major James Parrish of Texas; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday at Seymour Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m. and other times at the home of Ronald Parrish, 176 Hwy. 13 South, Dudley, NC 28333.
