Kate Gregory Pate

Goldsboro – Mrs. Kate Gregory Pate, 89, of 1502 E. Palm Street died Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A native of Kershaw County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Kershaw Gregory and Mary Alma Horton Gregory and was married to the late Cecil Miller Pate. Mrs. Pate was a charter member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Luke United Methodist Church with Rev. Earl Dulaney officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Mrs. Pate is survived by her sister, Mary Gregory West of Goldsboro and a brother, Frank Gregory of Goldsboro.

Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1608 E. Pine Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Frank Gregory, 121 Lee Drive, Goldsboro.
