Nicholas Allen Payne

Goldsboro - Mr. Nicholas Allen Payne, 49, of 319 Jeannine Drive, died Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Payne was born on December 6, 1952 in Davis County, Kentucky and was reared in Rockport, Indiana. He was retired from the United States Air Force and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Michael Church with Father Volmi officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.

He is survived by his wife, Stella Arredondo Payne; four daughters, Michelle Sherman and husband, Robert of Goldsboro, Delphina Duncan and husband, William of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, Heather Neder of Des Moines, Iowa, and Lisa Barnes and husband, William of Goldsboro; a son, Joshua A. Payne of Goldsboro; his father, Jerry Payne and wife, Beverly, of Evansville, Indiana; his mother, Joanne Evans and husband, June of Philpot, Kentucky; two brothers, Timothy Payne and wife, Lynn, of Knobnoster, Missouri and Terrance Payne and wife Sherry of Indianapolis, Indiana and two sisters, Chris Ann Branch and husband, Brad, and Lindy Shoemaker and husband Brian both of Rockport, Indiana and ten grandchildren.

A Rosary service will be held Sunday from 4:45 to 5:00 PM at St. Michael Catholic Church where the family will receive friends following service from 5:00 p.m. to 6 p.m.
