Thelma Seymour Peacock

Goldsboro – Mrs. Thelma Seymour Peacock, 89, of 388 Buck Swamp Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late I.D. Seymour and Mary Johnson Seymour. Mrs. Peacock was the former secretary of the family business, Seymour Funeral Home and retired after 50 years of service. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neal Salter officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Mrs. Peacock is survived by her husband, James C. Peacock; a son, George S. Peacock and wife, Linda of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Kelvin Peacock and wife, Sue of Goldsboro, James Peacock and wife, Kim of Raleigh and Amy Samosky and husband, Paul of Raleigh; four great-grandchildren, Allison Peacock, Molly Peacock, Lisa Peacock and Davis Peacock; a sister-in-law, Virginia White of Atlanta and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 2706 Salem Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
