Goldsboro – Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Pipkin Pearce, 82, of 147 Betty Drive, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Marion Pipkin and Cora Hill Pipkin and was married to the late Milton Pearce. Mrs. Pearce was a devoted mother and home-maker. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Matthews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Heath officiating. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Jessie J. Pearce and wife, Harriett of Portsmouth, VA, Roy R. Pearce and wife, Carol of Goldsboro and Donnie P. Pearce and wife, Gloria of Marshville; daughters, Lois Boswell of Goldsboro, Marlene Jernigan and husband, Jimmy of Matthews and Patricia Elizabeth Miller and husband, George, Sr. of Pikeville; a brother, Bill Pipkin of Goldsboro; eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Pearce, George Miller, Sr., George Miller, Jr., Christopher Miller, Roy Wayne Pearce, Doug Jernigan.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
