Nellie Holmes Peck

Goldsboro – Mrs. Nellie Holmes Peck, 83, died Wednesday at
Britthaven Nursing Home.
Mrs. Peck was born in Wayne County and was the widow of William
Peck. She was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of
Jefferson United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at Jefferson United
Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Johnson officiating. Interment will
be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Holmes Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Peck is survived by her sons, William “Bill” Peck, Jr. of West
Palm Beach, FL and David Peck and wife, Charlotte of Katy, TX; her
granddaughter, Melisa Burgower of Katy,TX; her grandsons, Jonathan
Peck and Daniel Peck, both of Katy, TX; her great-grandchildren,
Hailey Burgower and Jacob Burgower; and her brother, Loren “Bud”
Holmes of Hialeiah, FL.
She is also survived by her extended family, Butch and Jackie Sallee,
Tracey and Dolton Davis, Shelley and Kevin Thompson, Lauren Davis,
Blake Davis and Tyler Thompson, all of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Peck; her
sisters, Rosena Lewis, Bula Price, Sula Dilorenzo, and Hepsie Price;
and her brothers, Atwood Holmes, Neirus Holmes, Wilbur Holmes,
Malcolm Holmes, Thurman Holmes, and John Holmes.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Jefferson United
Methodist Church, 1100 N. Jefferson Ave., Goldsboro, NC 27530.
The family will receive friends Friday following the service at the
church.
