Eva Sasser Pender

Goldsboro - Mrs. Eva (Nappie) Sasser Pender, 63, of 253 Grantham School Road, died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at Wake Medical Center.

A native of Wayne County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dallas J. and Diana Grantham Sasser and was employed with Lowe’s. Mrs. Pender was a member of Falling Creek United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Grantham High School.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 PM at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jean Hood officiating. Burial will follow in Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, NC.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Pender; daughters, Penny Williams of Guyton, GA and Pam Merhley of Batesville, IN; brother, Gene Sasser of Faison; a sister, Cecile S. Messer of Goldsboro; and six grandchildren.

The family received friends Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Neal Jurney, 237 S. Hillcrest Drive, Goldsboro.
