John Thomas Pender

John Thomas “Peanut” Pender, 67, of 1501 W. New Hope
Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Thomas H.
Pender and Ethel Capps Pender. Mr. Pender was retired from Tritherm
Insulation in Raleigh.
Funeral services will be Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. James Herring officiating. Interment will be
Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery.
Mr. Pender is survived by his wife, Inez Conner Pender; his
daughter, Tammy Snowden and husband, Jim of Pikeville; his sister,
Ann P. Teachey of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Austin Snowden and
Sarah Snowden; his brothers-in-law, Larry Butts and Bud Conner, both
of Goldsboro; his sisters-in-law, Linda Smith of Goldsboro, JoAnn
Holland of Goldsboro and Rita Hill of New Bern; and several nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary P. Pender, his sister,
Minnie R. Butts, and his brother, Douglas H. Pender.
The family will receive friends Friday following the service and
other times at the home of his sister, 3040 U.S. 117 North,
Goldsboro.
